We went on the move again for another On The Edge Marketing event where we partnered with Cambridge Marketing College in order to bring the necessary marketing expertise to the B2B marketers of Cambridge!  This high-octane conference was packed with takeaways that should hopefully improve your personal performance and drive more revenue to your team.

Situated in the beautiful grounds of Cambridge College, we filled your brains with more knowledge about content production, distribution, customer engagement, client retention, social media strategy, business branding, inbound and outbound marketing and much, much more.

About your Event Chair – Charles Nixon

PrintFounder and Chairman of Cambridge Marketing College

Charles began his career after studying History and economics at Manchester University, a degree that he says gives him a long term approach to strategy. He was first employed as Government Relations Officer for Courtaulds. In 1987 he moved to the City of London and joined Extel Financial in time for Big Bang and the city revolution.
Following several years with Extel he was head hunted by Societe General to rebrand its recently acquired UK Unit Trust Asset Management arm – Touché Remnant.

During this time Charles founded Cambridge Marketing College with, Ian Brownlee and a third Marketing Consultant, Mike West in May of 1991. The College quickly established itself for its fresh and enthusiastic approach. Since then the college has gone from strength to strength to become the leading Professional Marketing college in Europe with 1400 delegates at its 10 centres around the UK and overseas .

About Joel Harrison

Editor-in-chief at B2B Marketing

Joel Harrison is founding editor of B2B Marketing and is editorial director of publishing company Silver Bullet Publishing Ltd. He oversees all of the company’s event, training and content activities, including the B2B Marketing Awards, the B2B Summit, and the Advanced Certificate in B2B Marketing.

Joel is a regular speaker at events across the B2B space, and commentator on issues relating to marketing, publishing, media, branding and social media etc. Prior to launching B2B Marketing, Joel was editor of Incentive Today magazine, which he refocused on emerging field of motivation, launching a highly successful event The Motivation Awards, recognising excellence in this emerging field. He is a regular speaker at events and conferences, and chairs B2B Marketing’s regular seminars.

Charlene is a qualified Chartered Marketer with particular strengths in data analytics, return on investment reporting, brand positioning, new market entry and strategic market planning. She has a proven ability to use market research and data to build value propositions that deliver profitable results, and has implemented organisational change on a global scale.

Charlene has a keen interest in emerging technology and prior to her time with Ieso Digital Health she was a self-employed marketing consultant. As a consultant Charlene has worked with a number of technology start-ups and global high-growth businesses, including Silicon Valley Bank, ProtoGeo Oy (acquired by Facebook) and Cambridge Intelligence. About Adrian Hardy

Head of Marketing at BT

Though my degree was in Computer Science, my career quickly moved me to Marketing, where I have spent the last 20 years. I have worked in a number of major blue-chip companies, as well as running my own small business consultancy in Portsmouth.

My computing background has always driven my love of data, statistics and process: I have taken this forward into my marketing career, where I have been responsible for developing new – and problem solving old – Marketing functions and operations. Over the last 10 years, I have developed a number of methodologies and systems for understanding how to engage customers, nurture relationships and forecast sales which have proved invaluable and very reliable.
